My personal trainer Alex recently introduced me to the joys of a Wolverson LaCrosse ball. I am currently working on my mobility and he got me to use one to release the tension in my back and hips. The ball is no bigger than a tennis ball can be used to target exact points of muscle tension. It is the perfect gift for someone who trains a lot and suffers from muscular tightness.

My dad is a huge cycling enthusiast and despite turning 65 in 2015 he still cycles 20 to 30 miles a day. Whether for someone who runs regularly or for a beginner, these Nike running gloves would be a brilliant Christmas gift. I was bought a pair of the original Nike Knitted Tech gloves a couple of years ago and I love them. They are lightweight and keep your hands warm without ever making your hands sweaty. This new style looks great and comes in two colours, if I had a choice I would definitely go for the red.

Skipping is one of the best forms of cardio and can burn up to 900 calories an hour. This speed skipping rope from Reebok is the perfect stocking filler for anyone who likes to mix up his or her training. Skipping is great fun and such a simple way to improve cardio fitness.
