I started this blog as a way to document changing my health for the better. It is proven that someone who puts their goals out there for everyone to see is more likely to reach them. So I figured that a blog would be a good way to do that. It was only seven weeks ago that I started blogging but I have already seen the benefit of putting my goals in the public domain. Friends and family keep asking me how I am doing and the support I have received has been great.
However I would be lying if I said that the last 49 days have been a nothing but good news stories. I have fallen down a couple of times and inevitably doubts about what I am trying to achieve have surfaced. It has been at these points that I have looked to people who inspire me for motivation. As I blog every third day (hence the name of the site) I need lots of topics to write about and that is why I am introducing my ‘Inspirational Individuals’ series.
Each month I am going to post a blog about someone who inspires me and explain why and how they have motivated me. Below are a three people who will be featured over the next few months
Mrs every_third_day – Stacey Costar
Stacey is my wife, best friend and the love of my life. She is a constant source of inspiration and support. We have been together six and a half years and married for almost two. In that time Stacey has always backed me to succeed 100% and that support has helped me achieve things that I didn’t always believe were possible. Her love and positivity inspires me to be a better version of myself every single day, in fact she is the reason I use hashtag – #bebetterthanyesterday
The worlds best golfer (in my opinion) was born with an incredible natural talent but he knew that if he wanted to be the best he had to work incredibly hard to maximise the talent he had. Rory has mastered the game of golf and yet continues to work towards being a better player. It is this drive that led to him working on his fitness to build a body capable of performing day in day out whilst staying injury free. His dedication to his chosen profession is something I really admire and want to try and emulate.
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson
The hardest working man in Hollywood has been an inspiration to me for well over a decade. From the moment I first saw him performing in the squared circle I was a fan and I have followed his career ever since. The thing I most admire about The Rock is his dedication to do everything to absolute best of his ability. He doesn’t do anything by halves and that is incredibly inspiring. Despite having a life millions can only dream of he continues to work tirelessly to squeeze the most out of every minute of the day!
Those are just three of the people who inspire me when I am having moments of doubt and need a shot of motivation. I will be blogging more about each of them, and others, in more detail in the coming months.
Every day people draw inspiration from lots of different places and people. It could be a family member, a friend or a celebrity. If you are currently working towards a goal or trying to achieve a dream you could be inspiring someone else to chase theirs. So I urge you to keep going, you don’t know who you could be inspiring to take up a challenge or keep fighting for their dream.
